Eggshells: A Natural Calcium Boost

Don't throw away your eggshells. Grind them as finely as possible (you can even use a coffee grinder) and add them to the holes when planting tomatoes or cabbage. Calcium strengthens plant cell walls and helps prevent blossom end rot in tomatoes.

Onion Skins: Fertilizer and Protection

An onion skin infusion (a handful per liter of hot water, let sit for 24 hours) is a powerful growth stimulant. Additionally, the specific smell repels many pests, including aphids and carrot flies.

Bananas are rich in potassium, which is essential for sweet fruits and vibrant flowers. Just bury small pieces of peel near the roots of roses or tomatoes. They decompose quickly, delivering nutrients directly where they are needed.
